So, today while I was driving I revved my engine to about 4-5 rpm. The car started shaking and had a terrible clicking sound coming from the engine. I was worried and took it to the shop but they didn't have time but some guy who owns a few mustangs said it was the lifters. Anyways after about 5 miles of driving the sound goes away. Back to normal. Now on my way home from work everything is normal and boom, my car suddenly sounded a whole lot louder but not in a good way. I look under the car and it appears that my exhaust clamp fell off. What i'm wondering is if that the engine ticking sound had to do with the exhaust maybe being loose and then just falling off?

where you at in CT? my dad has a full set of PI heads in MA, so if you need any parts lemme know.
it does sound like a bad lifter to me.
