Default Drivers side window wont go up

Had my drivers side window down today, tried to put it up and all the others went up but the drivers side. What might be the problem? Is it a switch possibley or the motor mount? Anyone have an idea and the cost of what itll be? thanks!

well, i'd say if you can pull it up by hand and it falls back down then the window just came unglued and popped out of the track that it sits in. Which is still not an easy thing to fix, or there is the alternative that the regulator/motor/switch (any combination or single item) died which is more expensive than glue.

You could take the door apart to get a more definitive answer.

Maybe a loose cord connection? Check the black cord that you disconnect at the part furthest from your door hinge when you take your door panel off.

Just take off the interior plastic door panel and you can probably easily see whats going on.

I had this issue with my 2001 Cobra before and after research its a normal problem with the year of the car. Its the motor, replace and your good. Temperary fix would be to hit the door where the motor should be and it should kick start it. Worked for me. Actually have to hit it pretty hard alot of times.

+1 Best way to tell, especially since there are only I think two screws that hold it on..........if no one before you lost any of them. Good luck with the problem.
