I have a 97 mustang gt that starts and dies 5 seconds later I used a code reader and picked up no codes. I beleive the injectors loose ground. i have replaced the EGR Valve, IAC module, spark plugs, i have an ECU on order. could it also be the CCRM. the theft light does come on when i turn the key but goes off like normal and does not come back on at all. I read in the haynes manual that it could be the intake bing loose but im not sure is there any other ideas please help.

sounds to me like its a PATS issue. Try a different key? I had this issue on my 98 gt, and it was a bad key. The car would start, but just immediately kill.

I have tried all three of my keys. the theift light does the usual turn on then off when u turn the key. but it never flashes after. My new PCM came in today so I will try that when I get home. Like i said though the code reader picked up no codes so im a little stumped. I checked thed the intake manifold and its fine.

i believe the PATS is controlled by a separate computer behind the cluster... not the pcm.
