Starting up cold
Out of curiosity since I am learning about how engines run, if you start a car up cold, particularly the 4V 4.6Ls, let it run for about 20 seconds or so, then shut it off, does fuel pool around the cylinders since the car was running rich? And if you leave it off after a quick cold start, can it smell really bad like a burning smell, more powerful a smell than rich fuel when turned back on since that previous fuel is getting burned with another rich mixture? Thanks!

All of what you postulate is possible, and it would be far from the best thing to do to an engine on a regular basis--there is also no reason I can think of for ever doing so, making the questions largely irrelevant...

I guess you could start the car in the garage, back it out to the driveway to wash it and shut it down in under 20 seconds.

It was when I put the stock tune back on it started for about 20 seconds an shut it off to make sure it still started. The next day that weird smell came from it upon startup. it's an 03 cobra.
