car dying in reverse?
Hello guys, if you dont want to read the history, skip to the *** for the problem.
I've got a 2000, mustang GT 2V 5spd that I just bought. When I got the car, the kid had changed out the clutch, but didnt resurface the flywheel so the car chattered really bad. Replaced everything in the transmission and all seemed to be good, but this is where the problem starts.
I do not know if this is related, but after everything was put back in, it developed a strange grinding noise under the engine bay.
***Simultaneously, the following occured: whenever I reverse, the engine stalls and sometimes dies as soon as I come to a complete stop. I can roll backwards riding the clutch and it will be fine, however, as soon as the brake is applied, the RPM's dip into the 100-200 range, again sometimes completely dying.
This problem occurs regardless of if the car is warm or cold. Also, (I cannot be positive) it seems like I am having to give it more gas during 1st gear take off to keep it from dying without excessively slipping the clutch. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

I would say check for a vacuum leak somewhere.
