Default 275/40/17 falken tires

I'm currently running 245/45/17 falken tires all the way around. I just bought 17x 10.5 rims for rear. Where can I get falken tires 275/40/17 for under 150 a piece. Used tires will work also if in good shape.

I have never had a bad Falken tire and the Azenis 453 (the current 45x series) is a high-end summer performance tire. The best price I found online for 275/40-17 was from Discount Tire Direct--$163 each with free shipping...

You're gonna put a 275 on a 10.5" rim? Why?

Just seems like it would be a little stretched, that's all. I would check with Falken to see what their recommended wheel width for that tire is - most that I'm aware of call for an 8.5" to 9.5" wide wheel for a 275 section width tire. Doesn't mean a 275 won't mount on a 10.5" wheel, but it would likely not be an optimum fit in terms of traction, handling/stability and wear characteristics.

Personally, for a 10.5" wide rim if Falken doesn't make a 295- 315 width tire for it I would either shop a different brand of tires or find an appropriately sized wheel.

^ Good advice here ^

A 275 on a 10.5 is a bit of a stretch. The only people I know who run that combination are autocrosser. The idea is it make the tire just a bit stiffer. It seems to me that the tire would roll over onto the edge easier. Anyway, those are dedicated cars and not daily drivers.

I would bump to a 305/315 or a smaller wheel.
