Hello. I just bought a 1997 mustang gt 5 speed. It has several issues. It has a very loud tick in the engine. I think it is a lifter but I've been told an injector can cause it. This is plausible because I mouse had chewed the wires to the plug on the front left injector as well as a couple wires on the mass airflow sensor. However I also received a set of heads and an intake off of an 04 gt. What would I need to make these parts work on my car? Also, what do you think the real problem could be?

I forgot to add that the tick comes and goes...it is not consistent. This has led me to believe it is not a rod. Also, when the tick fades the power of the car increases. I have fixed the wiring issues but the tick is still there.
