GONNA BREAK AN AXEL????????
Ok, i have some bfg 315 drags on order and nitrous on the way in the spring. I just came across some posts in the 5.0 section about guys breaking axels with drag radials. Is this likely and how much will it run me to swap the axels? I am not gonna spray out of the hole very often if ever, so i am mostly worried about the torque without nitrous breaking the axels. How much HP and TQ are the stockers supposed to handle?

that is what i thought but some guys said that they have seen stock cars with drags break axels, probly bs. My car has 293 rwtq now hopin to have that to 300 or mor by spring. then with a 100 shot i would think like 420 to 440 rwtq with the nitrous.

if you spray on launch, you very well could break an axel. Especially with slicks. But, launching w/o the nitrous (unless you launch @ like 4grand or above) you should be safe.

good call. I need some DR's too. I can't floor it wiht my gears other wise I spin through all of first. Sucks. Your cobra makes an assload of torque though, beefier axels (31 splines) wouldn't hurt.
