I understand completely. It isn't that I can't afford them per say. We are just trying to get as many bills paid off as possible before leaving the state. So I don't want to dip in so much to that money. I'm just now about to be a senior Airman so at least I will get a tiny raise lol. I was kind of being selfish and just trying to settle for what I could get now I guess. Maybe I have learned my lesson. Same thing that heppened when I bought a used x pipe on here and it turned out to be **** and I spent more than I should have to get it fixed and in the long run could have gotten a brand new pipe shipped. That's why I am staggering when I buy the wheels over the course of winter so it isn't such a big hit all at once ya know? What branch were you in?

Maybe if I could cross train. I love working on jets but I find it pointless to continue when I come home covered head to toe in grease hydro fluid and jet fuel and make the exact same amount of money as some services guy handing me a towel when I walk into the gym lol

Get promoted. lol Go to school while you're in. Always do at LEAST two enlistments. By the end of your first one all you've learned is that you can take an *** chewing. I PROMISE, as long as you're not a ****bag, after your reenlistment your Sgt's & Officers look at you different and you're treated differently. At that point (Although they may not realize it) people start to realize that they need to treat you right to get you to stay in.

Take it from someone that's been in, out, In again & then out. Although I'd never change my time as a Grunt in the MC, my second time in was a whole new world. The best time ever. If you can PCS to a new Duty as part of your reenlistment, do it. When you showed up to your first duty being a Boot, going to your next duty with some weight on your sleeve will introduce a new found respect.

Ok, enough from me.
