"I just throw them in there till there snug. I dont think ive ever checked the torque on a spark plug and ive never had a problem."
"Yeah I am guilty of not using a torque wrench myself. I did notice however, when I changed to NGK plugs the threaded portion of the plug was longer if I remember correctly."
"i have no idea lol. I worked at a marina for 2 years and a boat shop before that and never even touched a torque wrench for spark plugs. I also used to work on small motors like dirtbikes and such. Never had a problem."
You guys will never get near my airplane...
LMAO! funny you say that, I am actual a aircraft maintainer in the Air Force I turn wrenches on F-16 Falcons. Odd huh. But yeah I use torque wrenches alot more on a fighter jet rather than a spark plug However even on a fighter jet there are some times when using a torque wrench is impossible. Thank god for safety wire!
It's actually my father's in title, but he's 85 and I fly it when I can afford it--it's a Cessna StationAir that he's had for over 25 years--310 HP flat 6, he calls it a 3/4 ton pick-up that flies...
Thats awesome. My dads friend has a late 50s (I think? maybe late 40s) little Piper that I have flown in a couple of times.
Cessna is proud of that A/C. Damn half mil...WOW. Pretty nice airplane
My father's is 25 years old, in great shape but a bit more spartan than what the A/C has become--which makes it jump into the air with just the pilot on board.
I've flown in, and flown, flashier small aircraft but for plain ol' reliability and getting a bunch of people and/or stuff from here to there it can't be beat...
