Painted my wheels (pics)

Thanks for the tip. Did you use primer too? Or did you just scuff them and then hit it with multiple coats? Did you even bother with clear coat?
What is that finish? Semi-gloss?
We neeed to get it done before the AM car show!

From what I remember:
sanded the wheel down pretty damn good to get a rough surface for the paint to adhear to. Wiped it down to get all the debree off form sanding. Taped around the outside edge so no paint got on the tire.
after that I wana say 3 or 4 coats of primer. Let that dry.
after that it was 3-4 coats of the black. I wana say it was black gloss, maybe even engine paint? I don't really remember what paint it was, we bought it at advance.
after the black paint, it was about 3-4 coats of clear coat.
Its really important to let each layer dry COMPLETELY because if not you will get really weird looking bubbles and imperfections. Allow EACH coat to fully dry. If you start to speed up the process the quality of the finish will be reflected.
That's all I remember. I would go heavy on the black paint coats (to ur budget) and as well as clear coats. I dont know if they offer a "thick" clear coat, but that would help protect against road debris for sure. The more coats, the less likely road debris will chip the paint down to the base coat or actual sanded rim.
