75mm TB and plenum
#14
OP If you go with a centrifugal supercharger you can use an aftermarket plenum. If you go with a roots(Roush, M90, Saleen) or twin screw supercharger(Kenne Bell) then the supercharger manifold itself will have an upper intake(plenum) attached to it already.
You can make 700RWHP with a 70MM throttle body. Will you be making this much power? If not then the 70MM will do just fine. The extra 5-8 millimeters wont be detrimental but will not help you.

I hope you're not using that as an argument for 3.73s cause they top out a whopping 10mph over 4.10s do in 4th gear running a 26" tire. So, 110mph with 4.10s and 120mph with 3.73s at 6,000rpm

Nope, stockers over this way. Though waiting for the 3K-4K TQ with 3.27s N/A is retardedly annoying. And I certainly am not going to be running 26 inch tires ever on my DD and definitely not on the highway.

i have 4.10's in my '95 and have raced up to and sometimes past 150. only when i was racing a gto and a couple bikes tho, nobody else likes going that high.
and to the op, you will want a tb/plenum for the s/c. it does not come with one and yes you can use them with the s/c, unless you buy a kb. so basically buy one you like now and you won't have to replace it later on.

You realize that stock tire diameter is over 25.5" and if you ever go to a wide 18" tire, you will most likely be over 26"

Honestly I never bothered to make that connection. I just kinda assumed since you were saying 26 instead of "stock"(which can understandably vary) that it must have been a big diff. As you can see i'm not much into the dragster math.
Regardless 4.10s all day for quarter mile performance. For a DD I just cant stomach all the RPMs and loss of top end. I don't know who would even call it a race unless it hit 100 MPH. I spend 85%-90% of my miles on the highway and i'm a little surprised how little Mustang owners drive regularly on the highway. A lot of guys have a beater and can "afford" to go 4.10s, it will just never, ever be me. I cant justify sacrificing the top end and RPMs for the 1-2 times a year i'll be stomping it at the drag strip. I'm glad I never moved to 3.73s because now I have the opportunity to get a feel of the supercharger on 3.27s and make my judgement from there. 3.55s seems like a waste of money for a small change and 3.73s will probably be extremely obnoxious for a stock rear end and street tires on boost.

I was running 4.10s with +425rwhp for almost 2 years. On street tires, it can get messy if you nail it in the first 2 gears.....but as soon as you strap a set of sticky tires on the story is entirely different.
BTW, with 4.10s and a 26" tire (just about what everyone runs) 4th gear tops out at about 110mph at 6,000rpm.
