Has anyone ever powdercoated their blower? Or seen one powdercoated?

I doubt the amount of heat held in from powdercoating the unit would be that noticeable...especially on a higher boost, intercooled setup.

The black units do look pretty OEM on some of the newer setups ive seen

Yea would be pretty sweet, I actually sold my d1sc kit because I didn't like the looks of it in the engine bay. Now I wish I had it for the higher boost than the kb.

The powdercoating should be pretty cheap though, as the units are decently small.

I'm guessing your car is black from the pictures? Black would look good but kind of hide it, do you have any color on your car(interior, etc?)
The cars black on black so no color lol. And how big of an issue do you guys think heat will really be?

I've came from air cooled VW's and it was always a no no to paint the heads and things because they just couldnt cool. and powdercoat will be likely to create the same situation..but if you're not racing your car 24/7 it wont change much and how often is it super hot in PA? so you should be fine. and I think you should do it white or something to kind of stand out, or like a black chromish color or something.

You're gonna have to take out all the seals the blower has otherwise they will melt in the oven.
