Has anyone ever powdercoated their blower? Or seen one powdercoated?

Default Has anyone ever powdercoated their blower? Or seen one powdercoated?

Just wondering what it would look like if the blower and all the pipes were powdercoated

Vortech is doing something kinda like that on their new 5.0 kits...

I think it would look cool depending on what color you decided on.

A black blower would look awesome! It would clean up the engine bay a little

The problem I see with powder coat, is that it's only going to hold heat that much more, as far as heat soaking and things..

Would definately be stylish, The possibility of a vortech on my car is growing daily, and I will powder coat the piping atleast. Just looks clean and very unique!

DO IT!

The powdercoat won't absolutely KILL your blower, (heat soak and things) but it will just make it that much harder for heat to escape... How far apart can you take the headunit? It will need sand blasting, thats gonna be the hard part.. (I've never had the chance to look at one out side of a car in person.).. The powdercoating should be pretty cheap though, as the units are decently small.

I'm guessing your car is black from the pictures? Black would look good but kind of hide it, do you have any color on your car(interior, etc?)

I saw that model blower on a 5.0 a few months back/ Looks really good. You cant really see it at first because it blends in so well with all of the other black componenets under the hood.
