Default How do I ID which Gears I Have?

I have just read that the 05-06 GT Manuals have 3.55 gears and the 07 the 3.55 are just a option...how do I find out which I have?

Being that your car is still new, you should be able to read the tag on the rear end.

Is there anything in the V.I.N. that would give it away?

Thanks!

Not that I know of. But the dealer can tell usually by the last 8 of the VIN

Not Lazy....we'll maybe, but not this time. My car is in winter storage

I just looked at the ford fleet web site that breaks down the VIN - nothing about the gears!

https://www.fleet.ford. com/maintenance/vin_tools/ (remove space before "com")

So what kind of tag am I looking for? Is it stamped on or like a shirt tag? Does it matter that my car is a "Premium" version would the 3.55's be included with that package?

I bought mine used (it had 1400 miles on it), so I don't have the orig. sticker.

Theres a little (paper) tag stuck or hanging around the pumkin area of the rear end.
Otherwise maybe wait until Monday and if you get a nice parts guy at the dealer he will tell you.

Did you save the window sticker?

If it is now an option, should be listed.
