Im looking at getting a magnaflow exhaust system and was wondering if anyone knows if the 3" is too big for an N/A car as opposed to the 2.5". They have a dyno chart with the 2.5" with some pretty good gains, but the chart for the 3" is for a S/C 5.4L. Does anyone have either of these in their setups and how do you like them? Do they drone at cruise like flowmasters?

I have the 2.5 magnapacks on my car and love them,they do drone a bit at about 100km but i never drive at that speed to much so it does not bother me!

Unless you plan on having a 600+hp car, don't waste the extra money on the 3" system. In fact because of a lack of back pressure, you may loose a little performance with the 3". Is this the reg. magnaflow or magnapack? I also have the 2.5 magnapack system and like charlie stated, they will drone a little, but I am hardly in the drone range. Magnapacks do sound good, especially with a prochamber.

Thanks for the replies. I thought the 3" might have too much flow. I just ordered the 2.5" from lordco here. Its awesome having an account there through work.

my dad has a 3" catback on his 08 GT, dont notice any difference in performance just driving around. i dont think just a catback or AB 2.5" or 3" will make that much of a difference either way performance wise.
