New gears, now clunk noise from rear...help!
I have an 08 GT manual with mild upgrades but stock suspension. Last night I had new FRPP 3.73 gears installed. There is no noise from the gears while driving at all. However, I noticed a significant "clunk" noise when I go over bumps now, like something is shifting around or dropping. That can't be gear noise, right? If there was something moving around in there I'm pretty sure I would have noise while driving/shifting/accelerating. Could it be that the mechanic didn't fully tighten up some suspension components? Or maybe the driveshaft? I hope it's not something that could do any damage... If anyone knows, please help!

Check that all the suspension bolts are tight back there-something's gotta be loose. I had a big clunk when I got my gears installed, over bumps like going in or out of a parking lot or over speed bumps. I took it back and it turned out the ******* that installed my gears forgot to torque one of the bolts on the panhard rod. I checked and torqued every bolt back there when I got home.
