My '11 makes 389 on a dyno with only a FRPP tune... I'm saying that because I've seen 13's, on the same day, make 350's to the 370's.. for some reason I did better than 13's with popular CAI/Tune combos.. Point is, there seems to be a lot of variation in power with these cars.
I've only run one 4.6 from a dig. It was the first week I had the car, so I definitely did not have the driver mod advantage
His was an 05 manual with 3.55.. and he's a much better driver. I have better tires, so that may have been a factor.
I was a car-length ahead of him by the end of 1st.. and my first is much shorter. He gave up after I was midway through second as there was no way he could catch up.
The only other time I had fun with a 4.6 was from a roll. His was a 2010. I didn't know him.. but he wanted to play. It was from about 20 mph.. I was in second gear when he took off, and I had a car-length on him by about mid 3rd gear. He looked pretty bummed about it as he had a slight lead on the jump and I just walked past.
There is at least a 100 hp difference.. the same difference between a 4.0 v6 vs 4.6 GT. The 4.0 guys need spray or a good supercharger (XCharger).. or turbo to really catch up in anything other than stoplight to stoplight runs.
I would just enjoy your car and not try to chase this. It's not really worth it.. cause its not like the 4.6 is slow in any way. If you add power.. you need to add supporting mods.. and by the time you are done, you're gonna want the next best thing anyway.
