Noisy MAF reading with the Procharger
I am having an issue tuning one of my friends Mustang GT, His car has
Built 4.6L to 5.0L 9.8:1 CR 3v engine
Compcams STG.3 SPR Camshafts
Ported Heads
Procharger D1SC setup with deleted stock BOV and a Tial 44mm bov.
MaFia Diablo maf extender
Long tubes,
The rest of the mods are just supporting mods,
After the base tune it just Idles great, however once you drive up to 2nd gear you can notice that the MAF reading is soo noisy that you can hardly tune the car.
I made sure there are no leaks and I double checked every vacum and exchanged every sensor laying around. still same issue.
Did anyone come accross this issue ?
Just so U know, the MAF sensor is located on the intercooler passenger side as is procharger had it there.
It had the same issue even before I deleted the stock BOV.
Please share whatever you think is causing this.
Thanks.

I had the exact same problem with my Procharger. I had to block off the MAF port on the intercooler (Procharger sells the block off plate) I got a MAF pipe from Treadstone, and moved the MAF up into a straight section, and the turbulence issues went away. I plumbed my tube using silicone tubes and stainless steel connectors, but will replace it with a custom bent tube with weld-in MAF port.
