also, just looked at it, seems pretty rusted from the cats back. i remember seeing a y-pipe that split for dual exhaust.

update on my project. so long story short, about 3 months ago i blew the head gasket and did some other damage. so the car has been sitting since, and ive been driving my 2002 CVPI. BTW, FUN car. so the current plan is to pick up a 87-88 TC, and swap the whole drivetrain. engine, trans, rear axle, everything. probably gonna upgrade suspension and tubro and downpipe while im in there. its probably gonna happen when i get my tax return this January. and i would prefer a 5spd, but will probably end up just getting an auto, seeing my my LX is an auto, and swapping to a 5spd would probably be a PITA. so, questions

will the 8.8 bolt in? or will modding need to be done?

engine mounts should be the same, right?

what about rear suspension? i was hoping to lower it a bit, and get better handling

and will i just swap the whole computer?

You can keep the AC with a 2.3 turbo swap. Unless going way out I would stay with a 7.5 rearend. I had a 8.8. That extra 60lbs of weight is not good. As far as rear suspension can do like me cheap poly bushing a used turbocoupe rear sway bar. Helped mine alot. Sorry can't see the compressor but it is the stock NA location. I didn't even remove it when I done the swap. Just unbolted it from motor and swapped in the turbo motor. Maurice.
