something simmilar happened to me. my tank was at like 1/8 mabe less of a tank and i was goin to the gas station and all the lights shut off head lights, brake lights, blinkers, tail lights, and my radio didnt work. but i filled up so i get home and fix the problem and after i filled up everything worked again. i still havent fixed the problem and i still dont kno what happened. but it hasnt happened again cuz i dont let my tank go that low n e more

i was hoe hoppin one night in a town like 2 hours away when mine went. when i pulled it to the first (parklight notch) the heads would work but nothing else, no parks, brakes anything. then pull it all the way out and everything but the headslights came on. there was a notch between the 2 pulls you could catch just right and make them all work. talk about a ****ty ride home! every bump i hit it would shut them off. im tellin ya, the place where they would both catch was hard to get and easy to knock back off. headlight switches....[:'(]

that just happened to me.
i bought i new headlight switch that seemd to fix it, but now it's doing it again.
when i jiggle the multifunction switch( the stick with the turn signals and such) my headlights come back one. i'm pretty sure i need a new one of those but i'l lsee when i replace it. maybe that's what's wrong with yours

just grab 2 or 3 from the junkyard, they are easy to pocket, get them for free.

yeah i thought of that..........this only happens if i drive with the brights on dims no problems...
