Default stearing / balljoints

I have to replace bolth ball joints on my 87 gt, I was wondering If I should keep the stock lower controll arm or if I should upgrade, I found a lower controll arm kit that allows you to upgrade your suspention to that of a 96 mustang, and put better ball joints on and give you a little better cornering. Is it worth the extra money to do the upgrade or should I just do the ball joints.

Thanks a lot I appreciate all the advice I can get
