Do you want a stock rebuild? Or do you want to rebuild it with the intent of making more power?

If more power are you going to add N2O, turbo, or supercharging to it? Or are you just going to go normally aspirated?

It all will impact what your overall costs are going to be.

Just a simple rebuild kit plus labor is going to be probably $1500-2000.

My total is quite a bit closer to $6000, but I went with a forged rebuild kit, new cai, maf, injectors, upper and lower manifold (intake), heads, cam, and had it balanced as well as a new throwout and pilot bearing installed (clutch was fine).

But my plan was to make serious power N/A, with the bottom end capable of supporting a decent amount of boost reliably.

i think you should narrow if u want to go bigger cubes(new rotating assembly, or more buget by keeping your crank and rods??. 332 would be a nice choice for a stroker . it has more rpm potential than the 347 and i think theres is only one place(chp i think) that has a setup where oil consumption into the chamber is not an emmision problem. this is just imo. you dont have to get a forged crank with the 332 , cast steel is fine . dss and coast high per do it in there kits it proven . also any cube change you will need a chip off the bat almost . i use tweecer if u have ever heard of it . which of these would u think u will go with ?

CHP (Coast High Performance) 's 347 streetfighter and pretty much all there other strokers do NOT have a problem with the oil leaking. Their wrist pin hole is located UNDER/Below the oil rings and therefore provide a true canal for the oil.

but there are other alternatives, CHP uses new blocks, there is another "The Engine Factory" but they use rebuilt blocks....

347 carburated from CHP $6200-6300 almost ready for drop in

347 carburated from Engine Factory $6600-6700 ready to drop in

both with approx. 415hp

I think for the bucks CHP is better because of the new block....but EF has good componentry inside. 6 of 1 and 1/2 dozen of the other...so many choices...

Redline.....oh, you already HAVE the engine....I thought you wanted a rebuilt one.......ahhh.....information is so important....hahahaha..

If you have one, then definitely get it checked out and then rebuilt....it'll save you some serious bucks. --- Find a GOOD/RELIABLE (they are so rare) shop and research their credibility (call BBB if you have to) and then do it. (that is if you are NOT going to do it yourself) -- if you wish to learn, you may even get permission from them to check out the process....that would be great!
