Default H pipe install with cel

I'm new to the forum but I am not new to working on cars. First time working on fords, I grew up working on dodges as I have a 1969 Coronet R/T with a 440 in it but enough about that. My question is I installed an H pipe on my 90 lx and put the o2 sensors back in from catted pipe, the damn check engine light came on after it was warmed up and I took it for a drive. Is this normal or will I have to get new o2 sensors, I checked the codes among other things the o2 sensors came up. Any help would be appreciated...thanks

Thats only on 96+ cars. The 5.0 only has 2 O2s, and they are before the cats. Your best bet is to check the wiring, make sure it is plugged in and not melted on the pipe itself. If thats all good then just bite the bullet and try 2 new ones.

Correct, you could have damaged one during the change. It normally wouldn't be an issue.
