is it a C-4

i have a 1980 convetible it had a 200cid inline 6 in it and i was wondering if the trans with it is a C-4 and if it is will it hold up to a 302 if i get a differant bellhouseing??

Its probably is a c4 or c-5 if the bell housing is removable .If it is either of the two it will work fine .there is a posability it is a c-3 but not to sure, they mostly came on the 2.3 motors.

oh yea.....does anyone know what size rearend the 80 convert. came with its really small i think its a 7.5 but not for sure....anyone know

I believe your trans is a C-3. And the rearend for sure is a 7.5"

PS: You should check the tag on the rearend, it might have a 3.45 gear in there.
