i took it apart and tried to mess with the little copper thingy that goes up and down but then i decided i would just jimmy rig it...



comes with switch and all... i prolly could have messed with it some more and found a different solution but this will work for me... oo thanks for that site... i found out that i lost the spring when i popped it open... so that might have helped me haha... o well thanks guys!

Thats one way to fix it. If you want you should use a lighted on/off toggle switch that way when power is on the led will be on and when the power is off the led will be off. That way you don't get stuck with a dead battery if you forget to switch off that switch. Power will always be on at that power wire i think. Either way though good job.

Mine didn't work when I bought the car... I put a new bulb in it and got nothing... Then one day I was taking a friend for a ride and he asked what it was, so I showed him and it started working and has ever since! Just got lucky I suppose...

My car is also a factory sunroof car and has, what I lovingly refer to as, the doink light.

ya i was thinking about doing that... but the switches for those are HUGE... it would have stuck out like really far... so i figured it wasnt worth it... i should remember and if not then i will just pop start it... gotta love manuals!

mine used to work all the time. even when the visor was up. so i cut the wire. i dont want that queer thing there anyways

since i seem to be one of the only people with alot of knowledge on mustangs, no not only t-tops and sunroof cars have map lights, 87-89 have maplights along with tilt wheel, 90-93 have the light int he middle of the room bigger then ours. now does anyboyd know what bulb goes in the map light?
