high rpm idle after punching it abit
Hey guys,
I was wondering if someone knew why this would happen to me. When ever I drive my car and punch it some, when I stop or get to a red light my car idles at like 1500 to 1800 rpm. I'll punch it again some, reving maybe high 3000 or low 4000's, stop and my car will continue to idle that high... why do you guys think that is?
I was thinking maybe theres fuel sitting in the lines or something- I'm not sure though.
My car has these modes( or some anyway)
trick flow intake
67 mm throttle body
1.6 ratio rolley rockers
e303 cam
24 pound injectors
fuel pressure regulator at around 40 psi
cold air intake
1 5/8ths headers
h pipe
dual chaimber flowmasters
I'm wondering if i got too big of injectors and too much fuel?- but when i had the fuel pressure lower i was getting lean pops so....i'm not sure, i had a vortech supercharger before thats why i've got the 24 pound injectors, do you guys think maybe that could be the problem?
