You want to get E7's not E6's. I just had a set of heads done for my jeep (AMC 304) and it cost me $180 for a vlave job and new guides.
You will have about $80 into a felpro headgasket set and another $50 or so into head bolts. That is all you will need.

I got mine at NAPA for around $50. I didn't get ARP's but really on a stock or close to it you don't need anything special.(they are better, but not necessary IMO)
You should replace head bolts everytime you remove your heads. Reason being is one, the age and all the heat cycling take the temper and strenght out of the old bolts, and two, they are torque to yeald bolts, meanthing when you torque them, they streach to get the proper torque load, and some will say that after they have been torqued once, they will not be torques again accurately. I wouldn't risk it and just spend the little extra and get new onesfor peace of mind.

Why not just get some cheap gt40s outta bone yard ? If your gonna have the heads off anyways and are spending money on heads why not get something that flows a bit better ?
I just sold my e7s for 50 bones....But the only reason the guy bought em is cuz he has e6's on his mustang right now...
