ok so i have a 93 stang 5.0 and the 5 speed tranny grinds when going into2nd. i know were i can get a 4 speed for cheap or i have thought about taking the time to rebuild it.

so my question is witch is better, 5 speed or 4 speed, will the 4 speed be slower? thanks for the help

it all depends on the gear ratios in the 4 speed. the 4 speed is gunna stuck something aweful on the highway and your top speed is gunna suck as well rebuild the t5

rebuild the t5 especially if you got aftermarket gears or you will be sorry if your doing alot of freeway driving

what is out there for rebuild kits that will hold up, all i can find is a borg warner rebuild kit, are there any others out there
