What Size MAF and Throttle body should I get?
I have finally decided im going to dump some cash into my 89 mustang. I currentlyonly havejba headers, bassani offroad x pipe, magnaflow catback, underdrive pullies, and cai, and I noticed it had a double roller timing chain when I replaced the pan gasket. My engine is still in good running condition with 90,000 miles and tomarrow im buying a 70DO0Eported 351w heads machined for 7/16 rocker studs w/ guide plates, 1.6 roller rockers, hardened seats, comp springs, comp cam hardened pushrods, and a x303 cam. I am also getting edelbrock performer upper and lower intake but I need some help with the efi stuff. What size throttle body would you recommend, what about maf and injectors, and the stock fuel pump? What kind of hp gains should I expect over stock? thanks

With your setup (incl heads) you can go with 70mm TB and 75-80mm MAF. Your 19# inj would suffice but you can go as big as 30#. Just be sure to have a shop do a tune/calibration. Stock fuel pump should be fine.. not sure about individual gains but with the heads and cam, you will definitely notice a difference.

your tb depends on your furture plans... if you done modding then a 70mm is all u need... if u have more plans hten get a 75 cuz ull need it later on... as for a maf get a 80mm pro-m... probably the best one u can get i wish i would have gotten one.... get a new fuel pump if u get a 75mm tb cuz ull need it later on and it wouldnt hurt... as for injectors... if you goin to get a s/c or a t/c then hold on of injectors cuz u will need 42s and u cant run those with your setup rite now... if u dont have ne major goals then getting 30s wouldnt hurt cuz u wont have to buy then again... it depends on you long term goals mroe than nething... if u wanna waste money and dont wanna plan for hte furture and just wanna get what is good now then get a 70mm tb with a 80mm maf with 24# and a 190lph pump.... that is a safe setup for u rite now... but if u do nething else ull have ot waste more money later on to upgrade... so tell us what upgrades u are planing on and we ca give u a better answers

+1^. i was going to say get the 75mm tb. then grab some 24# inj with a 80mm maf.

PS I bought 30lb injectors and a 255lph fuel pump. Way bigger than I need right now, but I won't have to buy bigger ones later. I did this because with a fuel pressure regulator, neither of those will hurt performance. A tb that is too big, on the other hand, will. Go with a 70. Really, a 65 might even be alright for you right now. But 70 is a good way to go

Sorry, wrong. You won't need a 75 for a long time, long enough to justify buying a 70. A 73-76mm MAF will be perfect, just make sure it's calibrated for your injectors. Pro-M is alright, my C&L hasn't done me wrong yet. Speaking of injectors, your 19's will do fine right now, with your setup and a stock intake. If you want to upgrade anyway, 24's will do good. Don't forget..calibrated.A bigger fuel pump wouldn't hurt, and get a fuel pressure regulator.

I'm not sur how old this is but I have an edelbrock performer intake and in order to get a nice cam and make the most power I have to loose the performer intake. So I would suggest going with a sytemax 2 intake.
