I need help with picking out my entire intake system for a DSS 306! Thanks Guys!
Ok so here goes...As many of you know I have a 94 Gt DSS 306 It's being restricted badly with the Edelbrock performer intake, 24lb injectors, 65mm throttle body and 65mm mass aiir. I called andersons to get a cam and he said in order to run the n421 or n412 cam ( can't remember what he said)I need to uprgrade my intake set up. So what should I do? I'm not rich. He said a 80mm mass air and big throttle body along with a edelbrock system II Intake as well as 30lb injectors. Sucks because I have a pro flow mass air set for 75mm and 30lb injectors. Can I just go 75mm and be ok? I don't see why 75mm wouldn't work? Hopefully I can sell the parts I have now to cover some of the blow. Can you guys kind of put me in the right but cheapest direction? Thanks you so much guys in advance! It means a lot to me. I wish it was just done right ugh. And no I didn't build the motor! I'm a do it once, do it right, kind of guy.

The cheapest thing to do is sell your intake and get a victor jr. Keep your injectors. Get the correct Mass air meter to your injector size and a 75MM TB. If your actually a do it once right guy like you stated maybe you'd just want to follow the recommendations you got from Andersons.

Thanks guys! I am a do it right, do it once kind of a guy. I'm heading in the direction andersons sent me just trying to do it with in my wallets range. Since I had the mass air set for 75mm and 30lb injectors I was seeing if this was an ok option for me to go. I'm working on the sytemax 2 as we speak. Think I got one for $350. I also don't do motor work myself so it makes it even harder. As soon as I can get someone to remove my old stuff I think I can get some of my cash back. Last time at the dyno I only made 295hp with a fully built dss 306! I called andersons because I thought the cam was my issue but they helped me really see that it wasn't just the cam it was the fact that the motor is trying to suck air out of a straw. Thanks again guys. It will be done right!

I really get lost with the whole intake operation lol. So if I go with a 80mm maf what size should my throttle body be? Could one of you kind of map it out for me? I would really appreciate it a lot! Thanks.

you dont need an 80mm MAF, the 75 will be fine. Also anything larger than a 70mm TB is a waste. Your 306 wont require enough airflow for that 70mm to become a restriction.
Keep your 75mm MAF
Keep your 30# injectors
get a Holley systemax 2 intake and have Ed Curtis port it (he's here in RI)
What heads do you have?
When you're done, bring your car down here to RI and I'll put a real tune in it.
