Default Help on fluids after HCI

What is the proper way to refill fluids after an HCI swap. I know that there is some special trick to doing the coolant but i cant find the article with the search feature. Also, would you guys suggest changing the transmission fluid since i'm already gonna be dirty? if so, what to fill it with and...howexactly do i drain and get fluid in.

Car is a 94 GT with about 74,000 miles. dont know if that info is helpful

Thank you guys for helping a beginner!

if you tranny fluid is dirty then u should get some royal purple... its pricey but its damn good... and it smells kinda like grape soda lol.... as for coolant i just poured mine in... i think i have an air bubble cuz i did that but some say i dont... havent found out for sure yet tho... and if ur old coolant was dirty at all id buy a bottle of cleaner and run it thru their and then change you coolant again with u change your oil... which is about 150-200miles after u get it started up and going.... i used cheap oil since its only goin to be in ther for 200 miles or less.... and coolant i bought cheap **** to cuz it will also be switched out so its a waste to but hte good stuff in right away... ne more questions u can pm me... im sure others will chime in too tho

hey, first off congrats on gettin ur girl back up and runnin. I do have a question about the coolant tho. It runs throughout the whole motor so how do you drain it out when you say to drain it after like 200 miles?

When I did my H/C/I...and it came time to start it, we realized with no coolant, that there may be problems.....especially since the 180 thermo wouldn't let water in until it got to the proper temp....

This is not right, but all we did was pull the big hose off the front top of the water pump and filled it with coolant. This way, the water pump wouldn't spin empty.....

Then we just waited for the thermo to open, and then filled it as the radiator emptied....

Not the best way I am sure.....nevertheless.....it worked
