What would be the average cost for new interior for a 5.0 mustang. I am not sure what year car it is because I have not got the car yet. My auto teacher may just give the car to me and he told me it needs interior work and basically it is a simple project car. My parents are the only people who could tell me I can't have it because they said it would make the yard look bad even though they have all their crap all over the yard. I already made a excuse to get it and it may have worked. I told my dad that my brother is shopping for a car and this car would be a great free car and I would fix it for him.

depends on where you go... seat upousltry can run upwards of 300 bucks new, lot of the big parts like the rear panels and console can only be found in junkyards, ebay and the like, carpets run around 150ish or more... also, you could just look around your local wrecking yard.... 5.0 and non v8 cars shared the same interiors, except I think later 5L cars had 140 speedos... but I may be wrong. my '86 is stuck with an '85 mph one[&:][:@]

I have not even seen the car yet, but he said the dash would need to be replaced. I may not end up with the car but I am hoping I get it. I am guessing that the cost of fixing this car to be decent may cost around 1,000 to 1,500 dollars. Maybe you may have a better estimate?

I dont really have a good estimate, I dont know where you live or what the wrecking yards around you charge. I know up by me, interior parts run around 20-100 bucks depending on the size and $h!t... I ve only had to replace bits and pieces of my '86's interior... so far Ive only spent 130 on my interior. $60 for my arm rest pad, 30 for my coin holder, 10 bucks for some cheap seat covers, and then 25 bucks for a "lot auction" of '86 interior parts on ebay then 5 bucks on a can of Caynon red dye to make it all match...
best thing to do is call your local junkyard or pick a part and see how much they would charge....
