ok recently i took out my air silencer box and ever since that i start my car give it some gas and it bogs and backfires from the intake idk, mayb it has to do with its speed density, vacum leak because when i start it it like start to shut off if i dont give it gas and then it backfires from the intake like a bad noise loud to, i hope its nothing bad and i plan on switching it to maf really soon and i hope that will fix the problem.

plz someone help dont want car to break just got it

Sounds like something else happened when you removed the silencer....did you keep your filter in there??

how would i mess up the timing from taking out an airsilencer box i was no where close to the timing or at least i hope not i mean jsut when i start it and sometimes it makes that sound and then it goes away after a few revs and when i got it it felt like it had a vacum leak but when i rev it it goes away i just dont know how i could mess anything up by taking that silencer box out it was doing nothign idk

Relax dude, I was just throwing that out there. Try putting it back in and see what happens. I would think you disconnected or bumped something by mistake.

i mean the car has been sitting for a while think i need a tuneup, change the oil,coolant flush,switch it to maf, etc etc, new air filter mayb idk i jsut dont see how it would backfire so bad from taking a air silencer box out idk mayb it needs a new filter
