Is there anyone running either of those components? Would the Transpack be a better buy, it says you can downshift at any speed with the transpack and is 80$, but also states for towing apps.,and the shift improver kit is only like 31$.

i wouldnt buy anything from b&m other then a tranny cooler.

some one will chime in soon, there is a shift improver kit that lets you pick the shift points and firmness. sounds like a good deal to me. i just cant remember what it was called

B&M was good stuff back in the day, not so much anymore though. Check out http://www.becontrols.com/ and get their shift kit for the AOD, it allows you to adjust shift points and firmness. It is the best kit out there if you're on a budget. Otherwise, go full manual.

To be exact it's actually called the AOD recalibration kit, but I'm sure you've found it.

i got the shift improver kit and didn't notice that much of a difference from stock. i would go with a shift kit from performance automatic. or get new vavlebody

I also started out with the B&M shift improver kit which helped a little. Then I went with the P/A Super Street AOD with a 10" 2600 Pro Launch Convertor and I love it
