Default The Right Scanner

The last couple of day i have been trying to find a good scanner for my car. Since its old now and the guy before me only replaced things once they became broken i want to get something in case it starts acting up. I want to make sure its OBD I and OBDII capable because even thought i got the 94 Mustang GT; My Brother has a 98 Mustang Cobra, and my sister's 95 Nissian 200SX car also need to have the throttle sensor reset. so ive been looking at some scanners and the lowest one i could find is about $160 on ebay or $219 at sears....

(ebay)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...91234&rd=1

(Sears)
http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/produ...seBVCookie=Yes

If anyone else can suggest any other Dual OBD scanner i should check out, that would help...or an OBDI and OBDII scanners for a decent prices.

yeah...i know i can do this for mine and my brothers but i kind of want one to reset the check engine light switch on my sister 200SX so i can take it to a smog shop....we know it will pass the smog test...we just need to get rid the dam check engine light so i can keep the car...its a free car and all i have to do is replace the dam throttle sense but im kinda lazzy plus since its a stick the part cost 2X as much as the automatic one[:@]...so im thinking as long as i get one i should get one that takes a look at mine and see how its running plus reset hers and keep that car too...

Okay #1 all those code scanners are junk because that's all they do what you want/need isn't going to fit into what your willing to pay!! and as far as advance auto goes ....those damn jokers there can't figure out how to access the data half the time to pull a code because if the code is stored a s a generic code in obdII without a discription like for example on a obdII system (and yes I know your mustang is obd 1 this is just an example) p1452 manufacterer auxillary emissions control... now you have to go into the factory specific side of the computer to get the needed info..... there is no one scan tool that'll do everthing you need for a cheap price....what your looking for is a scan tool that can read codes , perform system checks/test and has capability of bidirectional controls.....so here ya'go you can't afford what your describing you want the scan tool to do...... The snap-on Modis does alot of what you described if you can afford the quartely 1000.00 dollar updates.......so don't waste your money on those boy toy scanners...they'll do nothing for ya'
