Fuel pump won't turn on...

RE: Fuel pump won't turn on...
I agree. It sounds like your fuel pump was showing signs of quitting and finally just took a crap on you. My friends 87 GT went out without warning at school several years ago. I've tried this on Chryslers try hitting the fuel tank with a rubber mallet or your fist and try to start it again. I used to do that to avoid pushing minivans and trucks in the shop with failing fuel pumps. Check your body grounds too.

i had a similar problem, i found my pump had gone out. i had swapped in my friends new relay and still nothing, so i dropped the tank, not a big hastle like people like to make it out to be, especially if it didnt have alot of gas. there's 2 straps, then lower it down and work it off the filler neck. i suggest you have it up on jackstands to get clearance. there's one connector you need to undo along with the standard gas lines, pull the pins with a flat head and procede to pull it all the way out. then it's just a ring that you undo, the one on the pas side not the center one, unless you're gonna replace the sending unit while you're there.
