clutch chatter
ok so since i bought this car its had clutch chatter ever since. how bad is this for the rest of the car. when i dowshift its horrible unless i match the rpms to speed. also itswhen i first start off, and i cant keep it in a high gear if im going a lil slow, itjust shakes and vibrates. i think its hot spots on the flywheel but i dont know cuz i never have taken the trans out. how soon should i get this taken care of? and any possibilities on what it could be. i already posted about the trans i will get but as for the clutch kit im gonna get this kit i think http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...no=LRS-7560A-K this should be good enough for now. itll be a while till i get big power in there.

RE: clutch chatter
Is it 'chattering' only when you engage/disengage the clutch? Or is it bucking/'chattering' when the cluch is fully engaged/disengaged?
If it is while you are engaging/disengaging it would be common for the disc and/or flywheel to be out of spec. I would pul it apart and look a little closer. It will also chatter if you have a puck clutch or a pheramic/ceramic clutch.
It is very hard on everything (bearings in trans, u-joints, rear-end, etc...) to be bucking around all the time...
