Figured out my sticking throttle problem...
turns out the ball flange on the butterfly of the new P/PTB was about half an inch towards the fender side than the stock TB. this caused the cable from the bracket forward to be canted and stick. So me and a buddy figured that we had to shim the bracket screws out, but they were too short. so we got bracket screws and spacers from a new model turbo diesel, and they bolted right in and positioned it perfectly. then we sprayed down the throttle cable from the bracket forward with PB blaster and carb cleaner to get rid of any gunk that might have built up over the past 20 years. it works excellent now. I cleaned out the IAC with the carb cleaner, and the car is sounding good without anymore surging idle. I was surprised at how fouled up that IAC can get.
