manual tranny

RE: manual tranny
I used Mobil one synthetic trans fluid in my T-5 after I rebuilt it and it works great.
First pull out the bottom drain plug and get out any old oil and re-install.
Remove the fill plug mid way on the passengers side of the trans case.
Remove your shifter, held on with 4 bolts to the top of the trans.
With the car sitting level fill the trans til it leaks out of the fill plug on the side of the trans.
Approx. 3 qts to fill.
Re-install the fill plug.
Clean up shifter and reseal and install it.
I tried one of them suction guns once they are ****, threw it in the trash.

Get a shop manual for your car. You can find 'em on ebay for a decent price. Also get an owner's manual there.
Suction guns work good if you buy a GOOD one, i.e. NOT a made in China pos.

RE: manual tranny
Ok I used mecon atf fluid and installed it threw the top plug. I used a suction gun and it was a pain to use. Tranny seems to be ok but I need a new flywheel and an oil pump cause the presure just sit at the first line not going up or down. The motor is out of a 91 mustang and i installed it in my 94. It is supposed to only have 36,000. miles on it .
