Default fuel pump help (dont want to explode)

Check my sig for engine specs. I am installing a holley blue fuel pump with the regulator. I remember reading somewhere that it is set a default 14 psi fuel pressure ? I thoughtI was supposed to be somewhere around 6psi if so how do I go about adjusting the regulator.

On the regulator there is an allen screw with a jam nut. Loosen the jam nut and turn the allen screw to achieve your desired fuel pressure then lock the jam nut.
You need to have a fuel pressure gauge connected after the regulator. Read the instructions that come with the fuel pump.

With a carb you want your fuel pressure around 6-7 psi. On the lower side if you have an edelbrock carb. Higher than 7.5 psi on a Holley and you risk bypassing the needle and seats, flooding out of the bowl vents.
