Default since there's alot of tranny swap questions...

I thought i'd ask one thats a little related, but differnet enough to not want to ***** a thread.

How hard is it to put a th400 in a fox? Where can one find an...to quote jonny cash, "Adapter kit"?

+1 Why bother. Youd be better off to find a c-4 and keep the ford motor.

i'd never put a SBC in a fox!!!!!!

I can get the parts for a th400 cheap, and I guess I'm more familiar with building that, as i've never rebuilt a ford tranny.

Plus, they come stock as a bulletproof tranny, It'd be a little cheaper to build.

if you want a "stock" tranny that is solid grab a C6, its the ford = to a chevy 400..... but a C4 is a stout mothaffffff with very little work.

I found a C6, but I hear they are a dog with a small block, thats why I opted against it.
