anyone know how much better/worse each of these flow compared to one another

Edelbrock Performer RPMII VS Holley systemax VS GT40 (intakes)

AFR165 VS GT40 (heads)


im asking because im gonna go to a junkyard sunday, and if i find anything good, im gonna jump on it, so...

lol, yeah, i know that, but im wondering HOW much, because, if i can get gt40's on the cheap, instead of paying 2500 for everything else...

You can pick up a set of AFR 165's for around 1,300 where are you getting 2,500$ from?

2500 for intake, heads, cam, etc etc etc

now at a junkyard, im led to believe i can get GT40 intake and heads for <500

That has the flow data for pretty much most of the heads out there. Also has some velocity factors and a bunch of other crap. If you go to his main page there might be a section on intake flow.

Yes, the p heads use different headers. Regular GT40's flow almost as well as the p heads do.

It's my opinion that you should pick one direction and go with it from the start. I went with the GT-40s because I want iron heads for the street (no dissimilar expansion rates of the two metals) and I'm not trying to build a 600 horsepower car in the near future at all. Besides, I can always get my money back out of the heads or put them on another street-fighter 'stang later on.

I paid $200 for my GT-40s (non-Ps) off of a 60k mile Cobra. Deals are out there, you just gotta look for 'em.
