if your stock motor is 1.6 and not 1.7 you are a ok. Shims for spring pressure unless you go above .500 lift you shouldn't need to change anything except the cam my 95 cobra came from the factory with a B which is .480 lift with 1.7 rockers which naturally has less room than 1.6 anyday of the week.

RE: E303 CAM.... please help
Let me see....... the OEM valve springs specs for the E7 heads are:
Intake:
Valve Closed Installed Height: 1.8"@82#
Valve Open Installed Height: 1.33"@230#
Coil Bind Height: 1.250"
Lift to Coil Bind: .550"
Exhaust:
Valve Closed Installed Height: 1.6"@85#
Valve Open Installed Height: 1.15"@226#
Coil Bind Height: 1.090"
Lift to Coil Bind: .510"
E-303 with 1.72 rockers = .535" lift..... so the exhaust springs would become solid (bind) all the time, add some revs, and the intake springs will also bind. The '95 Cobra came with a HR cam that had .480" lift with 1.7 rockers, but it was not a B-303...... the B-303 with 1.7 rockers = .510" lift and is not emissions legal. The GT40 heads used in the Cobra engines had a different set of springs than the ones described above though...... suggestion..... at least match the valve train for the new cam requirements, repairs could be expensive...... BTSTDT with a customer that did it wrong with an E-303 cam. My
