CAM Shim Question

RE: CAM Shim Question
The stock push rods may be fine, but you would still need to upgrade to Roller rockers and use the shim kit to get the preload set correctly. The reason for upgrading the springs is so that you don't see valve float. The stock springs are really weak, and can barely support the stock cam, when you add a bigger can, you need to upgrade to a better spring.

RE: CAM Shim Question
Well yeah, you really only have the one option. You can't just buy new valve springs and the shim kit, because you cannot shim the stock rockers. You buy the shim kit in order to properly set the preload on adjustable roller rockers.
