Which heads cam other engine mods
Hey Im looking at modding my 1984 mustang lx, the only problem is i don't even know where to start, i have been looking around alot and am pretty much undecided so far as to which cam would be best for my application, i am hoping i can get some feedback. My mustang is pretty much stock except shorty headers and flowmaster 40 series mufflers and 3:73 gears. Ive finally decided that i want more power.
ok now that you have very basic info on my car, to the question. What cam choice would you suggest... and what all is needed to make the cam work, like heads intake that kind of thing, i would like a mild cam, that sounds great but gives me some getup. I have been interested in the 303 series cams from ford racing but im not sure if iany will fit... what mods would i need to do if it were to fit.... if somebody could point me in the direction it would be much appreciated.
thanks in advance

RE: Which heads cam other engine mods
ahhh okay.
well the guy i bought the car from told me it has an 1989 5.0 in it, but its still carburated, so im not sure, is there anyway that i could check it and see if its an 1989 motor easily, or... would it be a long process of tearing it down and just finding out that way?
