Hmm, since this is my work car, should I just use a shorter belt and bypass the smog pump and A/C until I manage to get a proper replacement/deletes?

If I do decide to use a short belt, can anyone tell me what size I'd need?

You should not be able to turn the crank pully by hand[&:], the one under the fan pulley if that is what you mean.

Haha, that's right. Duh.

Sorry, all of mymustang problems have been electrical in the past. Mechanical stuff often confounds me.

Aaaanyway, I'm going to try and bypass the smog pump with I think, what, an 84.5" belt?

We'll see how that goes.

Ok, so I managed to get the 84.5" belt on and have bypassed the smog pump. It was at first ever so slightly too small to fit, but after throwing the belt in the clothes dryer for about 5 minutes it had expanded enough to slip under the tensioner pulley.
