i installed 1.7 ford roller rockers on my car without shims. and when i put it all back together i had no compression on four cylinders. can someone please educate me on proper installation, so i dont have to do this again. this was my first time to do rockers.

Pedestal or stud mount? If pedestal then you need shoter pushrods or shims, if stud then you either overadjusted or need shorter pushrods. Either way make sure you check proper geometry after installation.

there pedestal mount, i have shims. i just didnt use them.

Your definitely gonna need the shims. I had to do mine. You have some valves that are not closing fully. If you can get your hands on a comp cams catalog, they have a step by step procedure outlined on how to do this. It's easy but time consuming. No need to pull the lower intake. You will want to maintain .020-.040 preload on the lifters.
