Default voltage question and FPR question

ok I just installed the BBK FPR and the booklet is came with said 39psi vac off. so i did this and put the vac line on after is was set and it went down to 32psi at idle. is this correct. also i talked to the guy that helped me rebuild my motor and he said that i should set it to 28psi vac off and when i put it back on it should chill at 32psi. whos right or is niether of us right???

only mods are typhoon intake, exhaust, B303 cam, stock heads, after market ignition coil

other question is I have SN94-95 alt on and that works fine. all my connections are clean and tight good connectivity. but with the key at the "ON" position im only showing 10.5 volts at start up but once its running its at 12.8-13.0volts. why is it soooo low just before start up? what should i look for to help this.

Did you get the alternator tested? Sounds like it is slowly going out and is slowly drainging the battery. Should be charging 13-14 area. Is it somewhat slugish on startup?

What did you set your fuel pressure to? That is the point in the regulator right? To set it and regulate it where you want it? Try setting it higher.

the starter is brand new as of today. alternator has been tested and is in perfect running order.its stil turns over when its warmat a good rate of speed but slower than a cold start. but regardless both times its only pullin about 10.5volts which seems low to me i thought it would be at 12ish at all times and when running closer to 13

i set the FPR at 39psi vac off. is that correct?

Iam not an EFI guy but the fuel pressure at 39 seems ok. My brother had his set at like 42 or so with minor boltons.

My wifes 98 was sluggish on start ups and the headlightes would cut out sometimes but and I cleaned/ rearranged the ground wires at the terminal (bolt on clamp on top) and it fixed all problems it was having. How new is the battery?

32/39 psi is within specifications.... (30/45 psi)...... the computer will do the rest.

Battery should be 12.5-12.9 vdc with no load....... 10.5 vdc minimum when cranking, 14.0 - 14.5 vdc engine running and no electrical loads (headlights, stop lights, wiper, A/C, etc). If you're basing your readings from a dash gauge..... don't, confirm battery readings with a DVOM.

all my reading are based off on aftermarket volt gauge, thats why i know my exact readings

ok so it sounds like im within spec on both. im so happy now, both of my new summit seats are installed, interior is almost completely redone, car doesnt smell like pure gas anymore and it restarts everytime now that i've replaced the starter. finally its reliable. WoOt!
