I checked the coolant. .it was a little low. Ran it for a little while at idle... antifreeze went all over. Looked like the lower radiator hose to the water pump. And then i drove it home, checked it. Antifreeze smoking out of the water pump. Fan was loose too. So i'm gonna get a new water pump and i got a new lower radiator hose. Hopefully thats what it was. Oil was fine i checked it yesterday. The gaskets are going to be changed tomorrow. And 230 is definately overheated. Especially when it runs around 192 all day long normally. I would never run it higher than 215. I've had too many problems with overheated cars before. Thanks for all the help!

on another note oil breaks down at 220-230 so yes that is considered over heating just because the coolants isnt boiling doesnt mean the engine isnt too hot. as for the oil i doubt he is leaking enough for him to be running dry he would know the lifters would start ticking and makings all kinds of expensive noises
